As a life-long athlete since the age of three, Dr. A’nna has always been fascinated by how different foods impact our body. She started experimenting with different foods before, during and after track practices, which led her to three State Championships as a competitive runner. By 18 years old, A’nna was working in a research laboratory and published her first scholarly article in a peer-reviewed journal. Her classes and research at Cornell University were an outlet to expand and explore her curiosity of nutrition. Dr. A’nna took that curiosity and passion as far as academically possible, earning a PhD, conducting randomized controlled research trials, and as she says, “never stops learning.”

Dr. A’nna brings a wealth of knowledge into conversations with clients to help them live a high performance lifestyle by blending cutting-edge research with first-hand athletic experience. She actively listens to clients to understand their challenges and meet their needs. Dr. A’nna appreciates and respects that everyone has a different background and goals. For the detail oriented, Dr. A’nna creates a custom algorithm to calculate macronutrient needs and uses biomarker data to guide recommendations. But regardless of how broad or detailed your preferences are, she helps everyone feel confident with their nutrition. As the only combined PhD/Registered Dietitian in the world with all Ivy League degrees, Dr. A’nna is truly unique in her ability to help clients achieve their best.

When she isn’t working on growing "Still I Run," Sasha works full time as global communication professional for a furniture manufacturer in Michigan. Our Mission

Still I Run is a community where people can share their experience of dealing with depression/anxiety etc. through running or any other type of physical activity. We encourage one another to take time out of our busy lives to run for our mental health. Through various programs we offer, we hope to educate others about running for mental health, raise mental health awareness, provide encouragement to others, and help people experiencing hardship get started in their running journey.

episode_114-STEPHANIE_MUNDT-phitforaqueen.png

Stephanie Mundt is a physical therapist & running coach in Scottsdale, AZ. Her business Volante PT & Performance specializes in helping recovering female runners return to training & competition without fear of re-injury. Steph was a distance runner in high school & college, struggling with an eating disorder that contributed to repetitive bone stress injuries. She hopes to transform & improve the management of running-related injuries in females to foster a greater sense of resiliency & empowerment among these athletes.

"The fear of being told to stop running has kept me & runners I know from getting help when aches or pains pop up because running is so much more than a form of exercise. It’s a way to unwind from the day or week, to push yourself harder and further than you ever thought possible, and a space where you can be truly free.  But the good news is this: with many running-related injuries, you don't have to stop - you may just need guidance in modifications while your body adapts & heals."
